About the Job
A reputable 700 bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in Upper Manhattan has an immediate need for experienced Licensed Practical Nurses to work in Night Shifts
Type: HC-Contract
Shifts: Night Shift (11:30pm-07:30am)
Location: New York, NY
Responsibilities:
Oversee responsibility for patient care of Long-term and short-term individuals
Provides direct patient/resident care as needed.
Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the unit's medical records
Initiates and ensures effective interdepartmental communication
Responsible for maintaining an appropriate and safe environment
Qualifications:
BSN preferred.
Valid NYS Professional Licensed Practical Nurse License.
At least 6 months of nursing Home experience.
Experienced with NYS DOH and Joint Commission standards.
Knowledge of MDS and PRI processes preferred.
Strong organization, multi-tasking, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English.
Must be service-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent documentation skills and computer proficiency including ability to use clinical, email and MS Office applications.
