Overview:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. Your responsibilities will include administering medication, monitoring patient vitals, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

Performing basic nursing care tasks, such as changing dressings and inserting catheters

Administering medications and injections as prescribed

Monitoring patient vital signs and reporting any deviations from normal

Assisting with diagnostic tests and medical procedures

Documenting patient interactions and care provided

Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families

Collaborating with registered nurses and physicians to create and modify patient care plans

Ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards

Assisting in the evaluation of patient responses to treatments and interventions

Participating in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives

Adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a safe environment for patients

Communicating effectively with the healthcare team and other departments

Responding to emergencies and providing urgent care as needed

Contributing to the training and orientation of new nursing staff

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nursing program

Current LPN licensure in the relevant state of practice

CPR certification

Strong knowledge of nursing principles and practices

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Understanding of patient confidentiality and privacy laws

Capability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations

Knowledge of infection control procedures and safety protocols

Physical stamina and endurance to meet the demands of the role

Commitment to ongoing professional development and education

Experience in a clinical setting or healthcare facility is preferred
