Summary:

Requirements:

Valid and active LPCC license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science
At least 12 consecutive months of performing similar services within the last 3 years
Must have the required certificates relevant to the assigned specialized area.
BLS certification from an American Heart Association provider.

Responsibilities:

Under supervision, LPCC responsibilities include:Conducting initial mental health evaluations, including assessments of criminal, psychological, and substance abuse history.
Performing suicide risk evaluations with proper documentation.
Conducting therapy sessions and clinical interviews.
Identifying signs of psychiatric disorders and collaborating with medical and support staff.
Writing clinical reports, treatment plans, and participating in complex case consultations.
Documenting patient care and participating in interdisciplinary meetings.
Monitoring patient progress and applying ethical standards.
Conducting mental status exams and health education.
Assisting patients with entitlements and transitioning between care settings.
Facilitating patient releases and coordinating community support.
Providing written reports and participating in quality improvement activities.
Ensuring safety and security measures are maintained.
Collaborating with various committees and adhering to reporting requirements.
Being on-call for emergencies and providing crisis intervention.
Other duties as assigned.
