Requirements:
- Valid and active LPCC license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science.
- At least 12 consecutive months of performing similar services within the last 3 years.
- Must have the required certificates relevant to the assigned specialized area.
- BLS certification from an American Heart Association provider.
Responsibilities:
- Under supervision, LPCC responsibilities include:Conducting initial mental health evaluations, including assessments of criminal, psychological, and substance abuse history.
- Performing suicide risk evaluations with proper documentation.
- Conducting therapy sessions and clinical interviews.
- Identifying signs of psychiatric disorders and collaborating with medical and support staff.
- Writing clinical reports, treatment plans, and participating in complex case consultations.
- Documenting patient care and participating in interdisciplinary meetings.
- Monitoring patient progress and applying ethical standards.
- Conducting mental status exams and health education.
- Assisting patients with entitlements and transitioning between care settings.
- Facilitating patient releases and coordinating community support.
- Providing written reports and participating in quality improvement activities.
- Ensuring safety and security measures are maintained.
- Collaborating with various committees and adhering to reporting requirements.
- Being on-call for emergencies and providing crisis intervention.
- Other duties as assigned.
