Maine state licensure to practice as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) is required
Position Summary
The Licensed Social Worker is a member of the Quality Management team and collaborates with all of members of the interdisciplinary team (patient, family, physician, RN Case Managers, nurses, therapist, etc) in case finding/screening, assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, monitoring, documentation of the patient’s care, psychosocial, and discharge needs.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: LSW Social Worker and/or LSW Social Worker with MSW supervision if indicated by Regulations with at least 2 years of experience, preferably inclusive of experience in an acute care or Clinical Social Worker with at least 2 years of experience, preferably inclusive of experience in an acute care .
- License/Certifications: Current and valid license with the Maine State Board of Social Work is required. Certification or education in Case Management encouraged.
- Experience: See "Education".
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to highly sensitive inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, employees, customers and/or boards of directors.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
