Substance Abuse Counselor Requirements:
Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field (Preferred)
Will consider Bachelor's degree LADC
Valid state clinical licensure, LCMHC, MLADC, LADC, LICSW, LMFT (Preferred)
Experience in substance abuse and mental health counseling in Detox, Residential, and/or Partial Hospitalization setting preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion
Substance Abuse Counselor Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the needs of individuals seeking substance abuse treatment.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
Provide counseling services to individuals and facilitate group therapy sessions.
Address the unique needs and challenges associated with dual-diagnosis treatment and substance abuse recovery.
Offer education and preventive services to individuals and groups to promote substance abuse awareness and prevention.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and documentation standards.
Work collaboratively with other counselors, healthcare professionals, and support staff to deliver comprehensive care.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to treatment planning.
Schedule: FT (Days and one evening (12-8) shift)
Pay: $50,000-70,000
