About the Job
A health services network in Minnesota is looking to add a new Licensed Therapist or Psychologist to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic and counseling programs and services for assigned students, including individual and group therapy sessions
- Conduct student assessments and evaluations to determine abilities and needs with regard to cognitive, behavioral, social and emotional development
- Develop therapeutic goals and objectives and treatment plan for each student based upon needs, and abilities
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions
- Implement activities and provide experiences which develop student cognitive, social and problem solving skills
- Collect and record behavioral and progress related data obtained from therapy sessions and activities
- Serve as advocate for students; recommend, co-design and help to ensure implementation of student transition plans
- Review admissions packets and participate in pre-placement interviews
- Work with Consulting Psychologists to assign supervision hours and ensure clinical accountability of non-licensed therapists
- Implement crisis intervention strategies as needed; document and report all incidents in accordance with policies and procedures
- Maintain open communications and provide information and interpretations to parents, guardians and other human services agencies regarding student progress, needs and treatment plans
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Clinical experience providing Counseling Services & Therapy
- Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, and/or Social Work
- Requires licensure as Clinical Social Worker, Professional Counselor or Clinical Psychologist
