**BluePearl Pet Hospital** **is hiring experienced Licensed Veterinary Technicians to work Overnight in our busy Emergency and Critical Care department in Downtown Seattle, WA** **LVT Pay:** $25.60 - $49.15 / hour _$2,500 Sign-on bonus for qualified candidates!_ This location covers the cost of parking Downtown and bus passes. **Schedule:** Day shift 3 x 12 hrs 7am-7:30pm Wed/Thrs/Fri *subject to change **This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through CareerTrax leveling system** . We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. *Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum. We will also give you the chance to expand and grow your skills, all while working alongside some of the most talented veterinary professionals. **As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:** + Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment. + Triage emergency cases as they arrive at the hospital including obtaining vitals such as temperatureheart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure. + Perform digital radiography using proper technique including proper positioning of patients. + Have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs, including but not limited to heartand respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation. + Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes and issues. + Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR. + Properly calculate medical math (including constant rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration. + Are proficient at performing phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels. + Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters. + Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers. + Have patience and empathy to address client concerns. **Why BluePearl?** + Our passion is pets. Non-Credentialed, full-time Paraprofessionals are eligible for an annual CE stipend of $150. Full-time CVT associates also receive 8 hours of CE paid hours each year. Full-time VTS associates receive 12 hours of CE paid each year. Paid CE hours can be carried over year to year up to a maximum of 24 hours.
