About the Job
Express Care provides medical care for emergency medical conditions on an urgent basis without requiring an appointment. Our Express Care services are for patients ages 1 and older. Conditions that can be treated include, but are not limited to;
Sprains and strains
Skin rashes
Cuts and lacerations
Respiratory infections
Eye injuries
Fractures
New London Hospital continues to provide exceptional Emergency Room services and is especially equipped to treat these conditions:
Signs of a stroke, such as sudden facial paralysis, numbness or weakness in the face, arm or leg (especially on one side); slurred speech; impaired vision or severe dizziness.
Chest pain
Severe abdominal pain
Profuse bleeding or head trauma
Loss of consciousness
Children under 1
NLH Express care is classified and Emergency Room B- Onsite radiology, lab and ER available for support
EMR - EPIC
Local travelers (Those who reside within 21-75 miles of facility) must be uploaded at a 10% reduction of posted rate*** Facility will not consider any traveler residing within 20 miles of hospital.
Requested time off during the course of this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload. RTO REQUESTS AFTER UPLOAD WILL NOT BE APPROVED!! NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better).
Traveler must be willing to work TWO of the following:
Thanksgiving and weekend after
Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and weekend after
New Year Eve/New Year Day and weekend after
Non-billable Orientation: 0hrs
Holiday, OT Multipliers: 1.25%
Call, Call-Back and Charge: Not applicable for this need

Founded in 1918, New London Hospital is a not-for-profit Critical Access Hospital serving 15 communities with in the Kearsarge/Lake Sunapee region in central New Hampshire providing primary care and specialized clinical services in a patient and family centered environment.
As a strategic partner and member of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health, NLH is able to bring health care experts into the community both in New London and at our Newport Health Center (NHC) so residents are not required to travel away from their home community to seek academic-level care. NLH currently offers nearly 20 specialty services with over 60% of providers dual-credentialed at both NLH and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC).
