Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our detox/residential treatment team. The LVN will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality nursing care to our clients, ensuring their safety and comfort during the detoxification process and throughout their stay in the residential facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in substance abuse treatment, excellent clinical skills, and a strong commitment to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to clients in the detoxification and residential treatment programs.
- Monitor and assess clients' physical and mental health status, noting any changes and reporting to the supervising RN or physician.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to protocols.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans for each client.
- Perform routine medical procedures, such as vital signs monitoring, wound care, and blood draws.
- Educate clients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and counselors, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to clients, fostering a therapeutic and supportive environment.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid LVN license in the state of California.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a detoxification or residential treatment setting.
- Knowledge of substance abuse disorders and detoxification protocols.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to client care.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Kipu experience preferred.
Working Conditions:
