$30.00 - $35.00 per hour / DOE

Monday Friday / 8:30am-5:30pm

A Pharmaceutical company in the city of Whittier is looking for a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to play an essential role in delivering safe and effective IV therapy in both home and clinic settings. In this position, you will be responsible for administering medications and fluids, monitoring patient conditions closely, and educating patients and their families about the care protocols necessary for optimal recovery. LVN Responsibilities:

• Administer IV, IM, and SC medications and fluids to patients in their homes and Ambulatory Infusion Centers.
• Assess patients to determine their suitability for home infusion therapy based on their health status and home environment.
• Provide education and training on IV therapy and blood withdrawal techniques, ensuring patients and caregivers feel comfortable and informed.
• Monitor patients for potential complications related to infusion therapy, addressing any concerns promptly to ensure safety.
• Start peripheral IV lines and manage medication infusions while maintaining a high standard of care.
• Document changes in patient conditions, including vital signs and reactions to treatments, to ensure clear communication within the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess patient needs and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Prepare necessary supplies and equipment for medication administration and IV placements.

LVN Requirements:

• A valid LVN license from the California Board of Vocational Nurses.
• Certification in IV Therapy and Blood Withdrawal
• A solid understanding of nursing and healthcare terminology, along with strong patient care skills.
• Excellent interpersonal abilities, with a compassionate approach to patient interactions.
• Capability to complete CSP Orientation and Competency Skills Checklist effectively.
• Previous experience in home health care or infusion therapy is a plus.
