Essential Functions and Primary Duties:
• Prepare and submit insurance license applications and renewals for resident and non-resident licenses, as needed, for CBIZ Associates.
• Prepare and submit appointments for insurance licensed CBIZ Associates.
• When applicable, prepare and submit appointments for CBIZ subproducers who place business under CBIZ agent agreements.
• Assist new hires who have a need for pre-licensing coursework and/or continuing education compliance.
• Maintain the CBIZ Licensing database which requires continued monitoring to ensure accurate records for licensing, appointments and continuing education for insurance licensed CBIZ Associates.
• Develop positive working relationships with CBIZ Associates, carrier licensing & contracting departments & state departments of insurance.
• Establish insurance licensing/credentialing policies & procedures with each assigned CBIZ business unit location, insurance licensed CBIZ Associates and, if applicable, CBIZ subproducers.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Requirements:
• 2 – 3 years of compliance, contracting & licensing experience.
• Paralegal certificate.
Minimum Qualifications Required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s Degree or two years of experience on a specialized subject matter
• Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of
organization, both internally and externally
• Effective customer service skills
• Proficient use of applicable technology
• Ability to work in team environment as well as independently
• Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities
