Job Title: Life Safety/Sprinkler Inspector
Location: Marion, SC
Position Overview:
Selectek is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Life Safety/Sprinkler Inspector to join a Fire Protection Firm in Marion, SC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the testing and inspection of water-based systems, pre-engineered systems, fire extinguishers, backflow devices, and preventive maintenance. This role requires familiarity with multiple manufacturers' products and a thorough understanding of NFPA codes and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct testing and inspection of water-based systems, pre-engineered systems, fire extinguishers, and backflow devices.
- Perform preventive maintenance on life safety systems.
- Provide accurate and detailed inspection reports with proper documentation of any improvements and complications.
- Assist in identifying deficiencies and selling company services to address them.
- Communicate effectively with leaders regarding job status and any concerns.
- Maintain good habits and avoid cutting corners to ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
- Exercise full authority to stop work if unsafe actions are observed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work truck.
- Represent yourself and the company professionally by wearing appropriate attire and required PPE.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and industry standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with team members and leaders.
- Commitment to a zero-tolerance policy for substance abuse and the responsibility to be fit for duty every day.
- Ability to remain productive and minimize inactive time.
- Attention to detail and dedication to maintaining good work habits.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in life safety and sprinkler system inspections.
- Familiarity with multiple manufacturers' products.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
