Lifeguard, Jim & Heather Gills YMCA - YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg

Part-time position (daytime hours) providing a safe environment for pool users. Assists pool users, enforces pool rules and guidelines. Maintains cleanliness and chemical balance of pool. Ensures appropriate equipment is available and in working order. Provides CPR, First Aid and/or emergency assistance to pool users if necessary. Must be at least 16 years old and have current CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard Certification. Current Oxygen Administration, AED, Ellis Lifeguard License and swim lesson instructor certifications a plus.

Must be available to work Mon-Fri 7:00 am - 12:00 pm, Sat. 7:00 am - 5:30 pm and Sun.12:45-5:30 pm. Starting rate $9.62/hr with excellent benefits including eligibility for health insurance, retirement savings, child care before/after school and facility usage upon meeting eligibility requirements. Pre-employment drug screen and clear background check required.
