Job Description: Position Overview:
The Food Service Worker may work anywhere on property where food is prepared. This person will assist in setup and serving of food from counters and steamtables. Duties will include cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work stations. May be responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils.
" Washing dishes by hand or placing them in a dishwashing machine.
" Polishing silver and washing pots.
" Washing work tables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
" Sweeping, moping, and cleaning/vacuuming floors.
" Cleaning equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
" Removing trash and garbage to designated areas.
May assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and the proper storage of food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage:
" Reads recipes and/or product directions.
" Estimates food requirements.
" Operates a variety of kitchen utensils to weigh, measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, grind, stir, strain, season and knead foodstuffs for cooking, serving and storing.
" May taste test products.
" Brews coffee and tea.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
1-3 years of general food service, food preparation, and kitchen experience.
Minimum Education:
HS Diploma or Equivalent.
Location:
Restaurant 1913. Onsite at the Medical Center Campus.
Schedule:
Flexible evening schedule. Shift will be around 1:30-9:30p.
Must have open availability for weekdays and weekends, but team works to have rotating weekend shifts and accommodate preferred days off.
FTE/Extension possibility: Undetermined at this time but possible.

Interviews will be held in-person at 1913.
