Hours 7:00 am - 3:30 pmJOB SUMMARY:
In our Line Bore / Welder role, you will perform welding and line-bore work to repair and refurbish various components for our customers' equipment. Individual must be capable of welding, machining and line boring, ferrous and non-ferrous materials, to tight tolerance specifications, per instructions and blueprint, utilizing a variety of machine shop equipment, including manual engine lathe, horizontal boring mill, vertical boring mill, horizontal saw, overhead crane, forklift and other related equipment & tooling. CNC experience is a plus but not required. Be a part of getting our customers back onto the jobsite and building the world around you!
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate minimum
- Three - Five years of machine shop experience is desired, including experience with line boring processes, preferably in a repair or equipment maintenance-related environment, though other industry experience will be considered.
- Must be proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, and indicators, among others.
- Requires exercising good judgment and utilizing best machining practices.
- Requires attention to detail and ability to read blueprints.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pull.
- Standing/Sitting Up and downstairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines.
- Dexterity Normal.
- Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
