The Line Cook will be at the front lines, carrying out new developing recipes and menu items as set by the Chef. You will be responsible for presenting new dishes with precision and quality that meet our Azur company standards. Tasked with mastering the stations, you will also be accountable for cleanliness and food and equipment safety knowledge.
- Work a schedule that includes 3 days off every other week.
- 1 week paid vacation after 1 year of employment.
Duties, Responsibilities, Requirements:
- 2 years of experience working in a professional kitchen.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from the head chef.
- All line cooks are responsible for handling, storing and rotating all food on their station.
- Follows recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications as set by Azur’s standards.
- Must maintain a clean and organized station while practicing good safety and sanitation skills during prep, service and after service time
- Prep Follows prep list created by Executive Chef or Sous Chef using set recipes.
- Line Cook is Responsible for preparing the food items from their station.
- Line Cook is responsible for cleaning his station and assisting mopping the kitchen floor at the end of shift.

- Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
- Prioritize, organize work and follow through with assigned tasks.
- Be a clear thinker, remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment.
- Work well under pressure of meeting production schedules and timelines of food displays.
- Handle multiple tasks at one time while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Maintain a clean, neat and organized work environment.
- Follow recipes, to increase or decrease recipes as needed.
- Work in a fast paced, intense work environment, under sometimes extreme heat and stress.
Physicality Requirements:
- 100% -- Stands during entire shift.
- 75% -- Reaches, bends and stoops frequently.
- 10% -- Carries 40 lbs. about ten times per shift. over medium distances (20-30 feet).
- 50% -- Verbally communicates with fellow co-workers.
