About the Job
Utah Community Action is looking to hire a full-time Line Cook Driver. The Line Cook Driver is responsible for cleaning packaging materials, loading items into containers, and labeling items appropriately for all children's food and the summer food program. Accountable for performing final checks for defective items, ensuring all delivery items make it to the loading area, and distributing and collecting all necessary paperwork from sites for the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Assist the Kitchen Manager with food preparation, food quality, and inventory. Responsible for dropping food off at designated sites and picking up dirty food serving materials. Other essential day-to-day duties include but are not limited to complying with safety and cleaning standards, compliance with CACFP standards, food and sanitation standards, and health department standards.
This is a full-time, year-round position. The pay is $19.43/hour. Required Education and Experience
- Current Food Handlers, or the ability to obtain food within 2 weeks of hire, are required.
- Current Driver's License
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Preferred Education and Experience
- 2-3 years of experience working in a kitchen
- High School Diploma or GED
Physical Requirements
As a central kitchen member, the Line Cook Driver will participate in activities that require moving items and supplies, cleaning, loading, and unloading trucks. The position requires the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 60 lbs. multiple times per day and recall and retain information. This position works in an industrial kitchen setting that may involve extreme heat or cold exposure. It may be necessary to drive to other locations in inclement weather.
