Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and talented Line Cook to join our team at Nu3s. The ideal candidate will be passionate about culinary arts, result-driven, and skilled in preparing delicious meals that delight our customers. This role requires an excellent cook who can follow recipes precisely, deliver well-prepared dishes in a timely manner, and efficiently manage multiple tasks in a busy kitchen. Proficiency with various ingredients and cooking techniques is essential. The goal is to enhance our café’s reputation, expand our clientele, and build customer loyalty through exceptional food and service.
Detailed Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Preparing and assembling ingredients for menu items prior to each shift starts
- Preparing high-quality meals and food items according to company recipes.
- Storing food and ingredients according to NYC Health Food and Safety standards like correct temperatures and storing guide etc.
- Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet company standards.
- Monitoring supplies and re-ordering stock as needed
- Cleaning and sterilizing food preparation area, equipment and utensils every after shift while practicing Clean As You Go.
- Attends and monitor suppliers equipment update, cleaning, calibration and maintenance schedule as necessary
- Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner.
- Efficiently resolving problems with customers’ orders.
- Ensuring and preparing food for guests while following guidelines laid out in quality control standards and state and local regulations.
- Fulfill guest orders in a timely manner while adhering to best practices and careful preparation of food items.
- Keep work area clean and free of unsanitary items and objects; properly dispose of waste in appropriate receptacles.
- Maintain kitchen record on delivery, supplies, inventory, wastages and NYC health and safety necessary forms and protocols
- Work alongside other team members to ensure streamlined service and a commitment to work together to achieve company goals.
- Prepare supplies ordering and accepting deliveries as needed
- Resolve problems with wait staff, customer orders, or other food-related issues in the kitchen in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain utensils such as knives in safe and appropriate working condition as well as ensure that all utensils are clean and sanitized before each use.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in Food and Beverage services.
- Perform other related duties
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, and consistently embrace and exemplify the company’s core values in all aspects of work.

Education
- High school diploma or GED.
- ServSafe food handling certification is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques.
- Proven experience working as a Cook.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
