As a Cook/Kitchen Prep person, you will be responsible for:
- Using the correct tools and equipment to prepare all items
- Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality dishes, following Garcia’s recipes and standards
- Ensure food is cooked to order with consistent flavor, presentation, and portioning
- Assist with prepping ingredients, stocking kitchen supplies, and maintaining inventory as-needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Duties of this position will include:
- Set up of kitchen equipment
- Verification of stock
- Cleaning of cooking equipment
- Managing the flow of food orders
- Following sanitation and safety standards
Requirements of this position include:
- A good sense of balance, the ability to multi-task, lift up to 50 pounds waist high and stand for long periods of time.
- A qualified applicant must have basic reading, writing, verbal communication skills, and the willingness to work with others as a team
- The ability to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours in length.
- This position also requires you to use motion that entails bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, stretching, and continuous bilateral use of fingers and wrists.
