You've started the education, now get going with the experience! Join our team of Apprentice and Journeyman Linemen for the summer to apply your skills and expand your knowledge on the job. We are currently offering a Lineman Internship opportunity in Sunrise Beach. You will be assigned to a crew for the summer. Our internships offer competitive student pay, a full time schedule, and top notch on-the-job training for students looking to pursue a career in linework.
On a regular basis you will:
- Construct and maintain underground and overhead electrical lines in accordance with RUS specifications
- Read & interpret staking sheets and system maps
- Learn and implement latest safety requirements
- Assist with loading material, preparing the truck and equipment for daily work
We're looking for:
- Students currently pursuing a higher education in linework
- Valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement
- Willingness to work a 4/10 schedule beginning at 6am daily
- Great communication skills
- Ability to climb poles (using own equipment)
