Position Description
This position is for a seriously dedicated Linux SysAdmin. This is an on-site (no remote) position in Phoenix, AZ.The Linux System Administrator is part of the IT team and this individual will design, build, maintain and troubleshoot a secure server and storage infrastructure. This position requires a talented individual with a history of exceptional professional achievement, combined with solid real-world experience, to deploy and administer leading edge technology. The ideal candidate must be a technically savvy, detail-oriented individual with strong leadership/visionary skills, who can function with minimal oversight, in our 7x24x365 environment.
Responsibilities:
System Administration:
o Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers
Active Directory and LDAP:
o Integration of Red Hat Linux systems with Active Directory or LDAP environments
o User and group synchronization
o Authentication and authorization management
Red Hat Virtualization:
o Installation, configuration, and management of Red Hat Virtualization (RHV) or other virtualization platforms
Containerization:
o Experience with container orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
Cloud Experience:
o Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud Platform (a plus)
o Experience with cloud-based infrastructure management (a plus)
Imaging and Updates:
o Experience with operating system and application imaging techniques
o Implementation and management of automated update processes
NetApp SAN:
o Experience with NetApp storage solutions (a plus)
o Management and configuration of NetApp SAN storage
Other Duties
o Share 24/7 on-call support with other team members
o Server Hardware selection and implementation
o Provide support to Development and Operations teams
o System log monitoring and alerts
o Provide training and support as appropriate
o Create and maintain technical documentation
o Evaluate and recommend technology products and services
o Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
