Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Work on various system projects related to Linux, Windows, storage and application support
. • Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and projects/operational requirements
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes
Qualifications
• 5+ years of Systems Administration experience
• Experience administering RHEL environments
• Experience patching, upgrading servers, monitoring and maintenance
• Experience with Amazon EC2 or Rackspace
• Experience with DNS, Routing, Firewall Preferred Skills
• Shell scripting using Perl, Bash, C Shell, Korn or similar to automate tasks and processes
• Understanding of multi-tier application architecture and technologies (web servers, database servers, load balancers, etc.)
• Sever configuration using automation tools such as Salt and Puppet
• Lucene/Solr
• MySQL database administration
• Windows server administration – clustering and HA architecture What is in it for you?
