Description: We are currently seeking an individual with a strong background in Linux System Administration to support the hosting environments for a large enterprise. This position involves:
- Providing administrative services for a large Windows and Linux enterprise
- Implementing and validating Security Template Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Assigning individual and group access to applications, domains, and systems
- Managing user registration and profiles
- Maintaining disk space on Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Storage Area Network (SAN) architectures
- Providing directory and resource management
- Performing change management in accordance with established policies, processes, and procedures
- Logging all activity in Remedy
- Ensuring that anti-virus software agents and definitions are current
- Mitigating vulnerabilities reported by IT security scans and industry reports
- Maintaining software inventories, warranty information, and vendor contact information using automated and manual processes
- Provisioning hardware as necessary to support hosting and service requirements
- Developing and maintaining Continuity of Operations (COOP) information and materials
- Developing, executing, and auditing backup procedures
- Restoring data as necessary from backups
Required Experience and Skills:
- CompTIA Security+ Certification
- 5+ years of experience administering Linux operating systems
- Must have an active Secret security clearance
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Familiarity with the U.S. Air Force Standard Desktop Configuration for Windows
- Experience working with the U.S. Air Force as a civilian, contractor, or service member
- Release Management experience
Hours:
- Full Time (average 40 hours per week)
- Flexible hours between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
