Systems Engineer/Administrator (Active TS/SCI Full-Scope Polygraph Clearance)
Linthicum, MD | Full-Time, Onsite in Linthicum Heights, MD (5-days/week)
Job Description:
Our client is currently seeking an experienced, technically curious and personable candidate to come in as a Systems Engineer/Admin and Information Assurance professional to support their end customer support work and join a growing team that encourages, develops, and implements sophisticated solutions to complex problems. The candidate will identify opportunities to deploy new capabilities that the customer is not currently using/aware of and provide suggestions for how best to make use of them. The candidate will be expected to support technical systems engineering/administration work, but will also need to become an expert on agency and federal government regulations as well as how those regulations are automated by Xacta.
Key Responsibilities:
-Become an expert in Federal Regulations and guidelines such as NIST 800-37, 53, 60, 130, and CNSSi 1253 & 1254. Become an expert in the implementation and deployment of Xacta 360 and Xacta IO.
-Familiarize with existing processes and operations to continuously maintain support for the Xacta solution.
-Advocate for the usage and adoption of new capabilities where appropriate. Provide consistent and effective feedback to team members, client stakeholders, and end users alike.
-With some oversight and guidance, identify, troubleshoot, diagnose, and provide recommendations to remediate issues within the Xacta application set.
-Provide new or update existing operational solutions to complex problems as it pertains to Xacta systems administration.
-Develop the customer's implementation of the Risk Management Framework by applying domain knowledge and experience to identify and implement efficiencies in the administration of an Enterprise application.
Qualifications:
- Must have some knowledge with system security support IAW ICD 503 / Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- This position requires a current TS/SCI with Full Scope polygraph. 7 years of experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Assurance, or Cyber Security is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related field is required (4 additional years of engineering in IT, IA, Cybersecurity can be substituted for a degree). Experience in system/application administration to include issue capture, troubleshooting, remediation, and implementation.
- Experience with engineering technical solutions/capabilities.
- Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Experience with the Linux / Windows operating systems (OS).
- Experience with using API. DoD 8570/8410 compliance is preferred.
- The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to access sensitive information, which requires US citizenship and active badge for end customer (aka clearance).
