Job Details
Key responsibilities:
- Drafting legal complaints
- Conducting legal research and writing to support motion practice
- Participating in settlement negotiations and making court appearances
Essential qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active and good standing membership in New Jersey (required)
- Admissions to New York (preferred), EDNY (preferred), SDNY (preferred)
- 1 to 6 years of experience in litigation
- Experience in healthcare or healthcare reimbursement is an advantage but not mandatory
The candidate must demonstrate:
- Excellent analytical, research, and writing abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in drafting pleadings, motions, discovery documents, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related paperwork
- Creative thinking for devising effective legal strategies and solutions for complex issues
