We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Permanent Litigation Associate to join our high-performing legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of our expanding litigation team and work on a variety of complex and challenging cases. As a Permanent Litigation Associate, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of litigation matters, from initial client consultation through case resolution. This position will provide you with the opportunity to apply your legal expertise, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills to make a significant impact on our clients' lives and our firm's success.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough case evaluations and provide legal advice to clients on potential litigation strategies.
2. Draft, review, and revise various legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
3. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in civil litigation.
4. Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and advise clients on the legal implications of their decisions.
5. Coordinate with legal support staff and manage case workflow to ensure timely progression of cases.
6. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve disputes efficiently and favorably.
7. Stay updated on current laws, regulations, and legal practices, applying this knowledge to client cases and legal strategies.
8. Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional client service and ensuring client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with at least 2 years of litigation experience.
3. Exceptional legal writing skills with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.
4. Strong oral advocacy skills with experience representing clients in court proceedings.
5. Excellent research skills with proficiency in using legal databases and other research tools.
6. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases with varying levels of complexity.
7. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members.
8. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
9. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity.
