We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Litigation Attorney specializing in Asbestos/Mesothelioma cases to join our dynamic legal team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced attorney who is passionate about advocating for the rights of individuals affected by asbestos exposure and mesothelioma. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in handling litigation cases, preferably in the area of asbestos/mesothelioma, and will be adept at managing all stages of the litigation process, from investigation and pleadings through trial, settlement, and appeal.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload of complex asbestos/mesothelioma personal injury and wrongful death cases on behalf of plaintiffs.
2. Conduct exhaustive research to build compelling cases and to stay updated on the latest laws and regulations.
3. Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
4. Conduct and defend depositions.
5. Represent clients in court and argue motions and appeals in state and federal courts.
6. Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel, when appropriate, to ensure the best possible outcome for our clients.
7. Provide expert legal advice to clients, explaining the legalities involved in personal injury cases and guiding them through the litigation process.
8. Collaborate with legal support staff to ensure efficient case management.
9. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, offering high-quality customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.
10. Participate in business development activities to attract and retain clients.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in asbestos/mesothelioma litigation.
3. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
4. Exceptional litigation skills with the ability to manage all phases of the litigation process independently.
5. Proven track record of success in personal injury cases, particularly asbestos/mesothelioma cases.
6. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
7. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes favorably.
8. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain a good rapport with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
9. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
10. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
11. Willingness to stay updated on new laws and legal techniques in asbestos/mesothelioma litigation.
12. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
