About the Job
Williams Parker, the region's largest and oldest law firm founded in 1925, is seeking preeminent Litigation Attorneys with significant trial experience and portable books of business in areas such as trust & estate litigation, commercial litigation (with or without bankruptcy experience), construction litigation, and intellectual property litigation to join our growing team in Sarasota, Florida. Whether you are already licensed to practice law in Florida - or planning to relocate and willing to sit for the Florida Bar in the near future - you are encouraged to apply.
Litigation is sometimes unavoidable and often quite complex. When the need for litigation arises, our clients want an experienced attorney at their side. Our litigation team includes a niche focus on trusts and estates litigation, while also handling general, business, employment, real estate, construction, and bankruptcy litigation, as well as various other matters. Requirements
- Dedication to client service excellence in a fast-paced, collegial, and engaging environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft, negotiate, and interpret a variety of documents; effectively build relationships with investigators, expert witnesses, opposing counsel; and convey complex concepts in a concise and understandable manner.
- Enthusiastic attitude with demonstrated initiative, reliability, and an exceptional drive for results.
- Ability to work independently and under tight timelines, and to plan and prioritize multiple tasks.
- A professional courtroom presence and desire to try cases.
- A proven track record of winning, including serving as first chair on jury trials, in a broad spectrum of legal matters.
- Ability to organize and assemble information gathered during discovery for thoughtful presentation at trial.
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school, and Florida Bar Admission or willingness to sit for the Florida Bar exam in the near future is required.
- Please include a document with your resume submission which details your jury trial experience and wins, noting which you served as first chair.
