They have very dedicated list of insurance clients that have stayed with them for 20+ years and this position is open due to growth. The Insurance Defense work is typically trucking, auto, products, employment or premises liability. This firm truly wants their employees to be happy. Incentives start at 1700 billables and company pays 100% of health, life & disability premiums along with 401K and quarterly bonuses. Casual work environment with beautiful office space. Highlighted Duties:
- Represent clients in a wide variety of litigation matters including, but not limited to, Trucking, Auto, Products Liability, Employment and Premises Liability disputes.
- Handle all phases of litigation from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, discovery, depositions, negotiations, and trial.
- Develop and implement litigation strategy for each case.
- Conduct legal research, analyze case law, statutory law, legal submissions, and evidence.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.
- Advise clients on their legal rights, obligations, and potential liabilities.
- Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations to resolve disputes favorably.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling all client information.
Highlighted Requirements:
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school
- License in KY required, prefer IN license as well or ability to transfer in
- 3+ years experience as a Litigation Defense Attorney.
- Exceptional knowledge of civil procedure and litigation practices.
- Proven ability to manage a caseload effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent research, analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
