Litigation Legal Assistant
About Us: Gpac is partnering with a prestigious law firm specializing in litigation, known for its rigorous approach and commitment to client success. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional legal support in various complex litigation matters. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Litigation Legal Assistant to support our litigation team.
Position Overview: As a Litigation Legal Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and legal support to attorneys handling litigation cases. Your responsibilities will include managing case files, preparing documents, and coordinating with clients and court personnel. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in a litigation support role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing, organizing, and filing litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
- Manage case files, including tracking deadlines and scheduling appointments.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel.
- Prepare and file court documents to ensure compliance with procedural rules.
- Provide administrative support, including drafting correspondence and managing case calendars.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or certification in legal assisting/paralegal studies.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a litigation legal assistant.
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in legal research and document management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with complex litigation cases or high-profile matters.
- Familiarity with e-filing systems and case management software.
- Previous experience in a large law firm or litigation department.
