Are you a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Legal Assistant? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you! As a Litigation Legal Assistant, you will be a crucial part of our dynamic legal team, providing support to our attorneys during all phases of the litigation process. This permanent position will allow you to showcase your exceptional skills and grow your career in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and management of cases from inception through to resolution.
- Coordinate and manage calendars, schedule hearings, depositions, and meetings.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and experts.
- Assist in preparing for hearings, trials, and meetings.
- Maintain case files, databases, and tracking systems.
- Ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed, such as filing, copying, and scanning.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant or Legal Administrative Assistant, ideally supporting commercial or business litigation practice
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field preferred, not required.
- Proficient in hearing and trial preparation.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state court rules, procedures, and protocols.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Familiarity with e-filing in state and federal courts.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and principles.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- High level of professionalism and strong work ethic.
