Litigation Paralegal - Direct Counsel, LLC

Direct Counsel has partnered with a busy Defense Firm in the LA District who is seeking a dedicated paralegal with highly developed research, organizational, and communications skills.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1yr Litigation experience with trial prep and discovery experience
• Paralegal Certification is a MUST

Key skills:

• Legal research and analysis, civil discovery and litigation matters, Scheduling, calendaring and writing
• Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat.
• Fluency in a variety of databases and software including Westlaw, Essential Forms, and Trial Director is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee discovery including propounding and preparing responses to interrogatories and document productions.
• Prepare and analyze document summaries of employment, financial, and medical records.
• Draft meet and confer letters and discovery motions.
• Prepare trial documents.
• Communicate and interview with witnesses.
• Organize and compile trial notebooks.
• Conduct legal research and cite-checking including jury verdict research for case assessment.
• Effectively interact with outside counsel, staff, and clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000-$80,000 per year depending on experience
