Job Title: Litigation Secretary
Location: San Jose, CA
Overview: I'm partnered with a mid-sized law firm, that seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary to join their team in San Jose. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of stable employment supporting multiple litigation attorneys and possess advanced MS Word skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and edit legal documents including correspondence, briefs, pleadings, Table of Authorities (TOA), and Table of Contents (TOC).
- Manage e-filing processes and ensure compliance with Federal and State court rules.
- Maintain attorney calendars, schedule meetings and depositions.
- Prepare expense reports and check requests.
- Coordinate the maintenance of client files.
- Utilize document management systems, preferably NetDocs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of secretarial experience in a litigation environment.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word and e-filing systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with court rules and document management systems is a plus.
Compensation:Hourly rate of $45 to $55, based on qualifications and experience.
Note: This position requires in-office work in the San Jose location; remote work is not available.
