LMSW Therapist - TAG MedStaffing

Job Overview - LMSW Therapist:
We are seeking an experienced LMSW Therapist to join our team in NY. This role involves providing therapeutic support to children aged 3-21 with mental illness and emotional disabilities, working closely with both the children and their families.

Location: Westchester, NY
Compensation: $40/hour
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities of the LMSW Therapist:

• Therapeutic Environment: Contribute to and maintain the therapeutic milieu and culture of the school.
• Family and Staff Collaboration: Consult with Clinical Director, School Principal, Unit Directors, and teaching staff to develop and implement treatment programs.
• Counseling and Education: Provide child and parent counseling, education, and training per the child’s IEP.
• Client and Case Management: Conduct classroom visits, review files, and maintain ongoing communication with staff and families about treatment plans and progress.
• Crisis Intervention: Provide 24-hour telephone crisis service and participate in crisis intervention beeper coverage on a rotational basis.
• Documentation: Complete necessary documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other required reports.

Qualifications for the LMSW Therapist:

• Education: LMSW required.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, working with children and families in a therapeutic setting.
• Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Other: Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain professional boundaries.
