We are looking for a highly motivated IC Design Engineer to contribute to Diversity Receive (DRX) designs. You will work with other analog/RFIC and module designers for simulation and making measurement of IC.
Job Responsibilities
- LNA and RF switch design and verification using cadence tool.
- Generate RF and switch top verification bench using cadence
- Use various extraction methods like PEX, EMX to optimize the RFIC design
- Communicate investigation, design, analysis results using XL sheets, power point slides during design reviews
Required Qualifications
- BSEE and 5 years’ experience required, MSEE preferred
- Familiar with using Cadence virtuoso with experience in schematic editing
- Demonstrated experience and knowhow of using Spectre, APS, AFS, EMX
- Familiar with Hierarchy Editor
- Knowledge to deal with convergence issues
- Experience with Smith chart, load and source pulling, RF matching, transmission lines in both simulation
- Familiar with the different analysis types including but not limited to S Parameter, Harmonic Balance, Transient, AC, DC
- Ability to sort through data and present data in a concise manner
Preferred Qualifications
- MS plus 2 years' experience designing RFIC SOI LNAs and RF high power switches
- Familiar with lab equipment such as Spectrum analyzer, Network analyzer, Signal generator, Oscilloscopes, DC power supply, etc.
- Familiarity with taking lab measurements like Gain, Noise Figure, Harmonics, IP3, etc.
- In depth experience with Cadence tools, EMX, HFSS
- In depth RF systems level knowledge
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $76,100 - $138,900 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
