Office Clerk
Carpenter Co. has a Loading Office Clerk opportunity available at our Pasadena, TX Petrochemical Plant. Working in tandem with the loading department, Transportation and Export Coordinators, this hybrid clerical/shipping position is responsible for all aspects of coordination of shipment of goods and receipt of materials into and out of the loading department.
Major responsibilities will include:
- Reviews raw materials COA's against spec sheets for approval;
- Prepares/distributes shipping tags, seals, paperwork, etc.;
- Copy and scan all daily freight orders and forward to Accounts Payable Coordinator for processing;
- Monitor/direct truck traffic as necessary;
- Processes paperwork for incoming raw materials, supplies and return goods;
- Responsible for inventory of office supplies, PPE and other miscellaneous supplies as necessary;
- Checks/verifies transportation shipment paperwork;
- Checks transportation billings daily;
- Maintains transportation shipment files;
- Ensuring all sales, COA's, BOL's and batch sheets are organized correctly;
- Performs general office duties as assigned;
- Communicates with the transport and export coordinators;
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of related shipping & receiving experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Windows.
- SAP experience a major plus.
- Clerical or secretarial experience helpful
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment in close proximity to co-workers and other office personnel.
- Great organization, planning, customer service, and people skills.
