Job Description:
The Loan Coordinator is responsible for managing the administrative side of the loan processing journey. This role involves document gathering, file tracking, and client communication to ensure a seamless loan process and accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Management: Collect and organize required documentation from loan applicants, including income verification and credit reports.
- Data Entry & System Updates: Update client and loan information in company systems, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
- Communication & Coordination: Act as a liaison between clients, loan officers, and third parties to facilitate a smooth flow of information. Follow up with applicants on any missing documentation.
- Compliance & Quality Control: Review documents to ensure they meet regulatory standards and company requirements.
- Workflow Management: Schedule and prioritize tasks to keep loan applications on track, meeting key checkpoints and deadlines.
- Client Support: Assist applicants by explaining required documents and providing status updates on their applications.
- Reporting: Regularly prepare progress updates for management and stakeholders on application status.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 2 years in an administrative or support role; experience with loan coordination or finance is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, though candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook); familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM software is advantageous.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities; a proactive team player who can thrive in a small, collaborative setting.
