Job Description: As a Loan Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our members. You'll process consumer loans, evaluate applications, and assist members in understanding their financial options. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing courteous and professional service to members and potential members.
- Interviewing members to gather necessary information and documentation for loan applications.
- Analyzing financial positions and making informed decisions based on lending policies.
- Educating members on loan products and recommending solutions that meet their needs.
- Preparing loan documents, funding loans, and closing transactions while ensuring members understand terms and conditions.
- Conducting credit report reviews and providing credit counseling as needed.
- Promoting and selling credit union products and services.
- Servicing existing loans, including processing title work, modifications, collateral releases, and refinances.
- Assisting in collecting delinquent loans and supporting new member orientations.
- 3 or more years of lending experience.
- MUST have experience with Home Equity Lines of Credit.
- Experience in a credit union environment is preferred.
- High school diploma required; additional education a plus.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in loan processing software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze problems and conduct thorough research to find effective solutions.
