About the Job
Major Mortgage is seeking an experienced and motivated Loan Processor to join their team. The primary function of the Loan Processor is to ensure timely and accurate packaging of all loans originated by our Loan Officers. To collect and analyze credit conditions set forth by Underwriting to ensure approvability and salability of a loan file. Determine if there are substantial changes within a file upon collecting required data and documents to pose a possible adverse effect upon the loan. Document file so the Loan Officer will be aware of a file's status at all times.
Essential Job Functions:
- Verify the information on the document images. Input proper loan information into the system for processing. Require further documentation as needed. Follow-up on documentation requested from any source other than the customer and be familiar with automated systems.
- Ensure that all loan documentation is complete, accurately verified and complies with company policy for the following loan types: VA, conventional, FHA, Jumbo, USDA, DPA/Bond and refinances in multiple states.
- Identify and create needs list for Loan Officers' for all loans listed above prior to submission for Underwriting.
- Verify loan documents including income, assets, credit, appraisal and title insurance are accurate and support information provided by the borrower, including self-employed income and complex income calculations
- Review conditions of approval/decision from Underwriting. Order necessary documents for the file. Verify the required documents have been received and clean up file/eFolder.
- Meet crucial deadlines requested. Meet with team to discuss workflow and any pertinent issues which may affect the team. Attend staff meetings to address issues of concern, ask questions of new product information and procedures, general corporate information, etc.
- Perform any duties/activities assigned by management. Attend training classes as needed. Maintain the confidentiality of the customers
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must know real estate terminology.
- Most possess strong product knowledge and understanding of mortgage loan rules and
- Must have and display good ethics and professionalism.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and HRIS software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma, required.
- 5+ years of Mortgage processing experience, required.
