Loan Review Specialist - Morris Bank

About the Job
SUMMARY
Review all loans for completion of loan documentation and adherence to internal policies and approvals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs review of consumer and commercial loans
- Executes quality control reviews and identifies trends to improve quality of loan closing and loan operations
- Identifies discrepancies and issues, facilitates resolution and takes corrective action
- Collaborates with loan operations team members on error resolution
- Uses exceptions tracking system and software applications to track, monitor, and update status of loan documents
- Validates adherence to the Loan Policy and required approvals
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
- Performs duties as defined in the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Three to five years of consumer and commercial loan-related experience
- General knowledge of bank operations, policies and procedures
- Strong attention to detail, good judgment and decision-making skills
- Presents a professional image in dealing with customers, interdepartmental and external representatives
- Have a high degree of interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with customers and employees
- Ability to exercise personal and professional responsibility and work with limited direction
- Must be able to use tact and diplomacy and communicate effectively via telephone, letters, personal contact, etc
- Computer Skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Explorer
- Must be a team player
- General knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program preferred.

Exceptional quality standards are maintained in the recording of numerical data and organizational information. Grammar, spelling, and punctuation are flawless.

- Requires incumbent to remain sedentary within office
