Job description Job Overview As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare providers in various medical settings. Responsibilities - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician - Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms, reporting any changes to the healthcare team - Assist with patient assessments and care planning - Perform wound care and dressing changes - Educate patients and their families on health conditions and self-care techniques - Maintain accurate medical records and documentation - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care Skills - Proficiency in IV infusion and ventilator management - Knowledge of infection control practices - Experience in long-term care and outpatient settings - Familiarity with medical office procedures - Ability to work with durable medical equipment (DME) - Competence in pain management techniques - Experience with Athenahealth or similar electronic health records systems - Strong communication and interpersonal skills This position offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to make a meaningful impact on patient well-being while utilizing a diverse set of nursing skills.
