An Impatient RN Case Manager (often referred to as an Inpatient RN Case Manager) is a specialized registered nurse who works within a hospital or similar healthcare setting, primarily overseeing the care coordination and discharge planning for patients admitted to the hospital. Unlike case managers in outpatient settings, inpatient case managers are focused on managing care during a patient’s hospital stay and preparing them for discharge with a safe, sustainable plan.
