Must Haves:- RN in the state of SC or Compact- 2 years of nursing experiencePlusses:- EPIC experience- Previous sickle cell experienceDay-to-Day:Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient sickle cell clinic team. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with sickle cell disease, focusing on both acute and chronic management. This role involves direct patient care, patient education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.Key Responsibilities:• Provide direct nursing care to patients with sickle cell disease, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed.• Monitor and manage patients’ symptoms and complications related to sickle cell disease.• Educate patients and their families about sickle cell disease, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.• Perform routine follow-up and monitoring of patients, including lab work and other diagnostic tests.• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinic protocols and procedures.• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in sickle cell disease management.
