Job Title: School PsychologistLocation: Florence, SCEmployment Type: Full-Time/Part-TimeJob Description:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our student services team. The School Psychologist will provide comprehensive psychological services to support students' academic, emotional, and social development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting positive mental health and be skilled in assessment, intervention, and collaboration with educators and families to create a supportive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:Conduct psychological and educational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, behavioral, and emotional needs.Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans for students requiring special education services.Provide individual and group counseling to students to address issues such as anxiety, depression, behavior challenges, and social skills deficits.Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement interventions that support students' academic, social, and emotional well-being.Participate in Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) processes to identify students who need additional support.Provide crisis intervention and assist in creating school-wide prevention programs focused on mental health and well-being.Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed to ensure ongoing development and success.Stay current with research and best practices in school psychology and special education, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).Qualifications:Master’s or Doctorate degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.Valid South Carolina certification as a School Psychologist.Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, preferred.Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and consultation.Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.Excellent communication and organizational skills.A passion for supporting the mental health and academic achievement of students.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.Supportive and collaborative work environment.If you’re willing to help, you can reach me at my direct line at 843-502-5095.
