Job Title: School PsychologistLocation: Sanford, MEEmployment Type: Full-TimeJob Description:I am seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our team in providing comprehensive psychological services to students in grades PreK-12. The School Psychologist will collaborate with educators, families, and the school community to foster students' academic, social, and emotional development. This role involves conducting evaluations, offering interventions, and supporting students in overcoming behavioral and emotional challenges.Key Responsibilities:Conduct psychological assessments to identify students' academic, emotional, and behavioral needs.Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), 504 Plans, and behavior intervention plans in collaboration with teachers and other staff.Provide individual and group counseling services for students experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties.Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to design interventions that promote students' learning and mental health.Participate in IEP, 504, and special education team meetings, offering recommendations based on psychological evaluations.Offer crisis intervention and mental health support as needed to students and staff.Monitor the progress of students receiving psychological services, adjusting plans as needed based on data and outcomes.Provide professional development and consultation to teachers and staff regarding mental health and behavioral management.Stay current with best practices in school psychology and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).Promote a positive school environment that encourages social-emotional learning.Qualifications:Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.Valid Maine School Psychologist certification or licensure.Experience working in a school setting, providing psychological services and interventions, is preferred.Strong skills in psychological evaluation, counseling, and consultation.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.Supportive work environment with access to necessary tools and resources.I’m so excited to hear from you!
