Job Title: Special Education TeacherLocation: Estes Park, COEmployment Type: Full-TimeJob Description:I am seeking a passionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality educational services to students with diverse learning needs. The Special Education Teacher will work closely with students, staff, and families to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that promote academic and social success. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that meets the unique needs of each student.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s specific learning needs and goals.Deliver differentiated instruction in individual and group settings to support students with disabilities in achieving academic and personal growth.Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure students receive appropriate accommodations and modifications.Use a variety of instructional strategies and technology tools to enhance learning and engagement for students with a wide range of abilities.Regularly assess and document student progress, making adjustments to instructional approaches as needed to ensure student success.Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights on student progress and working with team members to determine the best supports and services for each student.Provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that fosters students’ emotional and social development.Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to update them on student progress and involve them in their child's learning.Stay current with best practices in special education and state/federal regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.Valid Colorado Teaching License with a Special Education endorsement.Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting, preferred.Strong understanding of special education laws, IEP development, and evidence-based teaching strategies.Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.Ability to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that addresses diverse learning needs.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.Supportive school community and access to instructional resources.I’d be so happy to hop on the line with you and discuss your career goals.
