Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)Location: Georgetown, SCEmployment Type: Full-Time/Part-TimeJob Description:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team of educators and specialists. The SLP will work with students who have a range of speech, language, and communication disorders, helping them achieve academic success and improve their communication abilities. The ideal candidate will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans that support each student's unique needs.Key Responsibilities:Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged students.Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on each student’s needs and goals.Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, focusing on areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, and social communication.Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to provide classroom support and integrate speech-language strategies into students’ daily learning activities.Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy goals and interventions as necessary.Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on students' progress and recommendations for classroom accommodations and modifications.Provide training and support to teachers, parents, and other staff members on ways to help students improve their communication skills in the classroom and at home.Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and state regulations related to speech-language pathology and special education services.Ensure compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and other federal and state laws related to special education.Qualifications:Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Valid South Carolina SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).Experience working with school-aged children, preferred but not required.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team to support students’ academic and communication needs.Passion for helping students overcome communication challenges and achieve their full potential.Benefits:Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.Supportive school environment with access to resources and modern therapy tools.I’d be so happy to hop on the line with you and discuss your career goals.
