Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)Location: Homer Glen, ILEmployment Type: Full-Time/Part-TimeJob Description:Homer Community Consolidated School District is seeking a passionate and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our educational team. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and provide intervention for students with speech, language, and communication disorders. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills, helping them achieve academic and social success.Key Responsibilities:Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged students.Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech-language needs.Provide direct speech-language therapy in individual and group settings, focusing on areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, and social communication.Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and school administrators to support classroom integration of speech-language goals.Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust therapy plans as needed.Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations for accommodations and modifications to support student success.Provide training and consultation for teachers, staff, and parents on strategies to promote communication development in school and at home.Stay informed on the latest research, tools, and best practices in speech-language pathology.Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).Qualifications:Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Valid Illinois SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).Experience working with school-aged children, preferred.Strong assessment, therapeutic, and collaboration skills.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Commitment to supporting the communication and academic success of students.Benefits:Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.Supportive school environment with access to modern resources and tools for therapy.I’d be so happy to hop on the line with you and discuss your career goals.
