Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)Location: Salem, OREmployment Type: Full-Time/Part-TimeJob Description:I am seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in supporting students with speech, language, and communication disorders. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapeutic services to students, working collaboratively with educators, parents, and administrators to foster effective communication skills and academic success.Key Responsibilities:Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students across all grade levels.Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's specific needs.Provide direct speech-language therapy to students in individual and group settings, addressing areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, and language development.Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to integrate speech-language goals into classroom instruction and activities.Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans to ensure effective outcomes.Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations for accommodations and strategies to support student success.Offer training and support to staff and parents on effective strategies to promote communication development in the classroom and at home.Stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).Qualifications:Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Valid Oregon SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).Experience working with children in a school setting, preferred.Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Commitment to supporting students’ academic and communication success through targeted interventions.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.Supportive work environment with access to modern resources and therapy tools.I can’t wait to speak with you about our mission of making a difference in the lives of students in Salem.
